Clothes make a statement. Costumes tell a story. – Mason Cooley

“Oh wow!” Catherine nearly spit a mouthful of green apple martini back into her glass. “I don’t believe it…all three of them?”
Greg pulled off his glove and lifted up his mask to see the trio approaching across Catherine’s Halloween-bedecked living room. “And in costume, too!” he noted gleefully.
“I never thought I’d see the day.” She shook her head, making her glittered halo dance above her. “Gil…Sara! Over here!”
It took many minutes for Grissom and Sara to weave their way through the guests because they would get no further than a few steps before someone would stop them to coo over the bundle in Sara’s arms.
By the time they made it over to Catherine and Greg, they’d been joined by Nick and Warrick, a pimp and a cowboy respectively.
“You know, Sara…I thought your greatest miracle was turning Grissom into a husband and a father, but I was wrong.” Nick lowered his oversized, rhinestone-studded sunglasses. “You got him here in a costume. That’s so much more impressive.”
Sara had to laugh at the look on Grissom’s face. “Actually, these outfits were his idea,” she informed them. “Even Aubrey’s.” She glanced down at her four month-old daughter with a soft smile.
“I think we could have figured that out on our own,” Warrick snorted softly. He pointed to each of them, starting with Sara. “Sexy butterfly, caterpillar and…” He saved Grissom for last, looking him up and down, taking in the man’s khaki shirt, shorts and hiking boots. “Bug-catcher.”
With his butterfly net in one hand, Grissom adjusted the brim of his sun helmet. “Catherine’s invitation was quite clear. No entrance without a costume,” he explained. “And Sara was also very clear that I would be attending, so….”
The women in question paid no attention as Sara placed the little girl in Catherine’s eager arms. “Why do you keep getting cuter every time I see you?” she asked the baby. Snuggled deep in the cozy confines of her multi-colored caterpillar costume, Aubrey blinked her blue eyes and yawned, opening her tiny mouth as wide as possible. “That’s right…steal my heart a little more, sweetie.”
“She’s got quite a collection,” Warrick observed, holding out his own hands for the baby.
With their daughter being passed from a naughty angel to a cowboy to a pimp and then on to Freddy Krueger, Grissom took the opportunity to do something he’d been wanting to do ever since Sara emerged from the bedroom in her black leotard, tights and elaborate butterfly wings.
He tapped her shoulder and when she looked at him, he brought the net down over her head. “Delias eucharis, or the Common Jezebel butterfly.” He whistled lowly. “Gorgeous specimen. Nice legs…shapely thorax…and what a set of spiracles.”
“All right.” Sara put her hands on her hips. “You caught me. Happy now?”
Grissom moved close enough to whisper in her ear, as not to be heard by the others. “Not until I take you home and mount you.”
She lifted up the net, her lips twisted into a puckered smile. “Talking like that is how we ended up with a caterpillar.”
“I remember.” He gave her a brief kiss. “You were right, honey. Costumes can be fun.”
Surrounded by people she loved, and still feeling damn good about fitting into a leotard four months after giving birth, Sara was disinclined to point out that as a horny entomologist…he wasn’t really wearing one.

Btw. The title doesn't make sense as it four verbs. It literally says 'in I disguise we you are I show I am'. Perhaps you want to use 'in persona aperimur' which does mean 'in disguise we are revealed'.

Of course Grissom would pick a theme about bugs, but I love Sara's thought at the end. Perfect! :D
